Cracked Teeth

Cracked teeth may demonstrate many types of symptoms, including discomfort to chewing or temperature sensitivities.  Chewing can create movement of the cracked portion of your tooth causing the nerve within the tooth to become irritated.  Initially the crack starts as a superficial craze line, but can extend to reach the pulp.  When this happens, endodontic treatment may be required.  A full coverage crown is typically recommended by your dentist after endodontic treatment is complete to prevent further crack formation.
