Strud L. Tutwiler, DMD, MS
Dr. Tutwiler and his family are originally from a small town in Alabama and grew up working on a dairy farm. Strud graduated from the University of Alabama with Honors and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with Honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Tutwiler then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (1-year residency) at the VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Following his AEGD residency in Texas serving American Veterans, he received additional education in Endodontics from Baylor College of Dentistry. Strud practiced family dentistry for three years in Alabama, before returning to the prestigious Saint Louis University to receive his Specialist Certificate and M.S. in Endodontics (2-year residency). Founded in 2019, Morristown Endodontics, PLLC is a family owned and operated dental office.
He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association, and Tennessee Dental Association. Dr. Tutwiler served as Chief Resident during his endodontic residency at Saint Louis University and was appointed as Adjunct Faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Completing over 3 years of postgraduate residency training plus an additional 450+ hours of continuing education, allows Dr. Tutwiler to stay current with the best treatment options. Dr. Tutwiler has received numerous recognitions including being ranked #1 in the nation for best clinical case by Dentsply Sirona, being named best clinical case study by the American Association of Endodontists, and successfully completed the written exam for the American Board of Endodontics (ABE).
Dr. Tutwiler’s mission is to provide exceptional dentistry at the highest standard of care in a compassionate, caring environment. He was inducted into the Order of the Arrow and attained his Eagle Scout Award, the highest award given within the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Tutwiler now is actively involved with Trail Life USA. Outside of dentistry, Strud enjoys hiking, hunting, outdoors, sports, and spending time with friends and family. Strud and his wife, Allison, have two young boys who keep them running around! During dental school, they served on several mission trips to Central America. Now, Strud & Allison are active members of Manley Baptist Church and work to support our community.
